Teaching Pilates is an incredible way to help change peoples’ lives. To free them from pain and discomfort, make them stronger, more mobile, more in touch with their body. Here at Inner Strength we pride ourselves on producing exceptional teachers, who can make a real difference to the people around them. If you are considering a career as a Pilates Instructor, here are some of the reasons you should choose us for your education:
Learn the entire Pilates system from a true Master Trainer
Our studio is run by PAI Master Trainer Candice. Trained in Singapore and New York, Candice is Master Trainer qualified in every element of Pilates including:
- Chair, Cadillac & Barrels
- Advanced Repertoire and Special Populations
In addition to this, Candice is a pre- and postnatal specialist and a specialist in back care and rehab including breast cancer rehab. She is also a Rehab Master Trainer, Personal Trainer and L2 CrossFit coach with a wide range of qualifications in strength & conditioning.
Ongoing mentorship, not a one-off course
We are not just a studio hosting one-off courses, but a full-time teacher training centre. When you attend one of our courses you become part of an ongoing mentorship program that offers practice teaching and observation opportunities and the chance to build your knowledge through ongoing study. It takes more than a course to learn how to teach well, and your course is just the first step on your Pilates journey. We are here to make you exceptional, and with that in mind, we will be with you every step of the way.
Learn how to teach, not just what to teach
It takes more than just a manual and a set of exercises to be a great teacher. Here at Inner Strength we will teach you the skills beyond the manual, so you can really stand out and have an impact on your clients. We will teach you:
- How to analyse and improve peoples’ posture
- How the joints and muscles of the body should move, and the importance of biomechanics
- The common issues that affect peoples’ movement, and how to correct them
- Cueing & correcting: how to spot corrections and effectively fix them
- Programming & workout design
- Modifications & props: how to adapt every exercise and fit it to an individual client
All you need to teach Pilates to both private clients and groups confidently and to a very high standard.
Learn to teach real people
Our courses – and our studio – are based on the PAI (Pilates Academy International) system, which includes all the classical Pilates repertoire but an added focus on customising and modifying moves for real people. As a studio we specialize in teaching real people and adapting, scaling and personalizing movements to the people we teach. We believe that Pilates can be done by anybody of any age, fitness or level of ability and having trained with us, you will be able to make this a reality.
Courses taught in a great location
Our courses take place in a dedicated training centre in our beautiful, fully-equipped town centre studio. 5 minutes walk from Macclesfield station and half an hour from Manchester and Manchester Airport, we have excellent transport links, and we are minutes drive from the Peak District National Park, Lyme Park and the deep green forests of Cheshire. If you are a visitor looking to stay during your course, please feel free to ask us for suggestions of accommodation and things to do and we will be happy to help.
Be the teacher your clients deserve
We think being an Instructor is a privilege and an honour. As a Teacher of Pilates you will have the power to change peoples’ lives – give them confidence, happiness, strength and freedom.
At the same time, it is a great responsibility. The people you teach will entrust you with their safety, but also with their hopes. They will trust you to help them achieve their goals and needs, and they will place their faith in you to get them results. Here at Inner Strength we are passionate about teaching, and we strive to create not just teachers but exceptional ones who can give people those results.
If you want to be that kind of teacher, visit our course schedule or contact us for more information.
